A Little bit about Annalie Walker
She spends her days counting pills, her evenings carpooling kids and her nights caught up in a good book. She likes her books the same way she likes her food, spicy. She has just published her first novel Pointe of Passion on Amazon.
Pointe of Passion (Dancer's Desire Book 1)
DEVASTATED by a career-ending injury, professional ballerina Mia Parker decides to move back to her hometown of West Trenton to open a dance studio and begin again.
DETERMINED to do what is best for his young daughter, Jaxson Sinclair finds himself adrift as a single Dad after his unstable marriage suddenly ends in tragedy.
DESTINED to find each other, there's no denying the attraction between them, but can he get past the self-blame of the accident? He is drawn to Mia and is astonished at how she can bring his daughter Sophie out of her shell like no other.
Will Mia be the push he needs to start living again? Although the obstacles of starting over are endless, they discover comfort in each other's arms. Can Jax bring this dancer to the Pointe of Passion where she never wants to go back?
Sometimes starting over can make all of your dreams and desires come true.
My Interview with Annalie
My family inspires me to push forward each day and follow my dreams. I want my kids to know that it is never too late to go after something that you really want and to never be afraid of hard work.
What Genre do you write? What made you decide that you wanted to write in this genre?
I write Adult Contemporary Romance Novels. I have loved romance novels since I can remember. In the last couple of years I have become an avid reader, sometimes going through as many as four books each week. Then one day it hit me, I think I can do this. So, I set my mind to it and Voila! My first book is now available!
Tell me about your current project?
I am currently writing Book Two in the Dancer's Desire Series, Rhythm and Rapture, which will be based on Jade and Aidan. There will be a total of three books in this series...as of now!
Give us an insight into your main character. What does he/she do that is so special?
My three books will feature three ladies that are each at a different place in their dance careers. They all have different reasons for moving back home to start a dance school together and each book will delve into those reasons.
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
With a full time job, a husband and two kids (one who dances and one who plays soccer) my biggest challenge is finding the time.
Is there a certain type of scene that's harder for you to write than others?
Well, going into this, I thought the sex scenes would be hard to write, but as it turns out, I think I have the hang of them. You'll have to tell me. *wink wink*
Do you have any unique talents or hobbies?
Writing about the dance world is easy for me because I have spent my whole life around a dance studio, either dancing, teaching or now as a Dance Mom. I also love watching football and am passionate about my favorite football teams. Don't ask me to do anything on the weekend when my teams are playing!
What do you consider to be your best accomplishment?
My children. Each day I find a new reason to be proud of them.
Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
I have several favorite authors, but I love reading the With Me in Seattle Series by Kristen Proby. I love the way all of the characters are intertwined throughout the series until I feel like I know them.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don't quit, just because things get tough. Keep going, because you never know what you can accomplish until you try.
Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and why?
This may seem silly, but I would love to meet Derek or Val from Dancing With the Stars and have the opportunity to perform a dance from them.
How can we contact you or find out more about your book?
You can find me on Twitter @AnnalieWalker, Facebook, GoodReads and sometimes on Instagram. Plus, you are welcome to email me anytime at email@example.com.
